A non-invasive coronary angiography with the Dual Source Cardio-CT is a very fast, high resolution CT angiograph examination. Together with the preliminary examination and the provision of information to the patient it may be completed in under a half an hour. It hardly intrudes upon an individual’s normal daily activities and lifestyle, and on the basis of its results it can with great certainty rule out coronary artery diseases that would require revascularization. Before the examination we place an 18G cannula into the cubital vein. During imaging we inject 50-70 ml of traditional X-ray contrast agents into the venous system through the cannula, during which the subject of the exam must hold their breath for 5 -10 seconds. Plentiful consumption of fluids is necessary after the examination.
